HangGoose™ User Feedback
The best surf gift I have ever gotten!; says A cutting edge wetsuit designer at Patagonia :
I have had the pleasure of using Mike's HangGoose for over 7 months now. From the waves of Malibu to the sharky depths of Bolinas, HangGoose has been with me all the way. Its patented, sleek design and compactability make it one-of-a-kind. Not only has it extended the life of my excellent Patagonia Guidewater Waders and R3 Front-Zip Wetsuit (which I surf with every morning), it is highly functional and very durable. Before HangGoose became a part of my daily surfing routine, I would simply hang my wetsuit with a plastic, coat hanger. I discontinued using the plastic hangers after I discovered unnecessary stress points were developing in the neck and shoulder regions. Knowing that this "wear & tear" could easily be avoided, I recycled my plastic wetsuit hangers and solely use HangGoose. Unlike traditional, plastic hangers that easily crack, snap and breakdown with constant use and over exposure to harmful UV rays, the natural teak wood (like leather) used for constructing the HangGoose - only gets better with time.
Hey Mike,
I got your hanger as a surf gift from a co-worker! My days of draping the suit over the fence and blowing off the dawn patrol because I can’t get motivated to pull on that cold, damp suit are over. HangGoose allows me to post up my suit, booties, in one easy to hang package that can be moved under the porch, into the garage, or anyplace warm and out of the fog and rain. The teak is durable, looks great, and is environmentally responsible.
Thanks for a killer product! Appropriate technology that works!
Thanks again,
Adam

I've been using the HangGoose for 5-mos now. It hangs my size 6 6/4 hoodie suit perfectly balanced against my 7mil mutant booties and claw mitts. Dry time takes about 18-20 hrs hanging in my basement...as it would only freeze outside. Before using the hangGoose, I would have to put my wetsuit back on damp the next day - which sucks to have a chill even BEFORE getting into the 35 - 38 deg water here in Maine during the winter. Hanging the suit in half makes a big difference with that dry time. The cool design that allows the booties to hang upside down actually allows for them to dry as well....minimizing the skank factor. The mitts I hang from the clawed forefingers. They too dry before the next day. This design is so much better than hanging the suit from the neck, as I've worn through fire guards this way, or lying it on a towel and having to constantly turn it over to dry. Especially for this cold weather situation where thick neoprene usually takes forever to dry, and the fact that you can't hang it outside in the low temps I adore my HangGoose. But my 3/2 suit, 3mil booties and gloves will have a home on it as well come summertime - that way all is sure to be dry and skank-free for any same day second sessions.
Thanks HangGoose. You've made surfing in Maine much easier.
P.S. It has made a very appreciated gift for my friends that surf!
Lots of sunshine,
